Founded in 2011, Matthew has built ECL's reputation around independent analytical testing, accurate results, and responsive client service. A Brown University graduate and successful entrepreneur, Matthew employs a Total Quality Management (TQM) approach to the company, evaluating the services provided to and the ways in which they impact the markets of the clients served.
As Founder & CEO, for 8 years Matthew served as Laboratory Director at East Coast Labs, LLC in Rhode Island and also led ECL's Quality Department before stepping away from Laboratory operations in 2019 and taking on the role of CEO. After serving as CEO for 2 years, Matthew sold his company East Coast Labs, LLC to focus on maintaining the Texas-based lab, ECL Testing, that was founded in the fall of 2020.
Matthew has led ECL Testing, LLC to become an ISO/IEC:17025 accredited cannabis test labs network that is known for quality, integrity, and quick turnaround times. With more than a decade of experience in quantitative analytical testing and third-party quality verification, Matthew has led the expansion of ECL's analytical capabilities into peptides and food microbiology testing. When not at work, Matthew enjoys exercising, farming, fishing, hunting, and spending time with his wife, eight children, and Dollie, the family doberman.
